I helped a supermarket optimize their Google Business page, twice.

Initial Services Completed – Jan 2021

  1. Reviewed the online presence of the supermarket to see what could be optimized
  2. Where do you see your business in 5 years? – Met with the owner to understand the marketing needs and business goals
  3. Filled out the Google Business Page Questionnaire, asking for relevant business information to upload to Google Maps, including business name, address, operating hours and more.
  4. Worked with the owner to expand the product selection and organize the store
  5. Optimized the Google Business page, including correcting the address, correcting business hours and adding relevant attributes
  6. Captured photos of the store and products and uploaded them to the Google Business page

More Services Completed – May 2023

  1. Followed up with the business owner to see that the business had expanded its footprint, and I asked if there were new marketing goals
  2. Reviewed the current online presence of the supermarket and recommended they optimize their Google Business page
  3. Captured photos of the store and products and uploaded them to the Google Business profile and removed the old photos uploaded
  4. Designed and installed 2 Google review QR Code signs so customers can easily leave reviews
  5. Completed Online Review Optimization, which included replying to both positive and negative reviews on the Google page

Google Business Page Questionnaire

I first met with the owner to understand their pain points and goals for marketing the business.

I used an iPhone 12 to capture photos I posted on the Google page.

Google Business Page Optimization

After taking and uploading new photos of the store, I optimized the Business page by correcting the Google Maps location pin and address, which was taking potential customers 4 blocks south of the business.

I also corrected the business hours, and added attributes so more relevant potential customers would see the Google Business page when searching for a supermarket.

Additional Services

Almost 2 years after initially helping the supermarket, I followed up with the business and saw they expanded the store by connecting an adjacent store.

The owner asked if I could take new photos and remove the old photos. I recommended that he optimize his reputation and increase his rankings on Google by replying to positive reviews.

The photoshoot of the expanded store, old photo deletion and review management were agreed to by the business owner.

Online Review Optimization

After analyzing the businesses’ current online presence, I recommended that the owner reply to reviews on the Google Business page to rank higher on Google and to bury older and less relevant reviews.

I wrote potential replies in a document and reviewed them with the business owner for approval before replying.

I also reported a spam review numerous times with the hopes that Google removes it.

To make it easier for customers to leave reviews for the business, I designed and installed a Google Business Page review QR code sign in Hebrew and English.

I also added Search icons so customers know to they can search for the business name in Google if they don’t have a QR scan on their phone.
