  1. Where do you see your business in 5 years? – First I met with the owner to understand the marketing needs and business goals
  2. Filled out the Google Business page Questionnaire, asking the owner for business information including Business Name, Address, Hours and more
  3. Organized sections of the store with the business owner
  4. Captured photos of the store and products and educated the owner how to take photos and upload them to Google
  5. Designed and delivered 80 Price Tags and taught the owner how to install them
  6. Created a Google Maps Business page including the relevant information and photos. I also added a business summary and applied relevant attributes to increase the conversion rate of the Google Business page.
  7. Taught the business owner how to get customers and friends to leave reviews on the Google Business page.

Google Business Page Questionnaire

I asked the owner for business information including Business Name, Address, Hours and other relevant information using the form below:

Store Organization

I organized sections of the store with the business owner. The first photo below is after organizing. The photo below that is before organizing.

An iPhone 13 was used to take the photos for this business.

Google Business Profile

I created a Google Business Profile for the hardware store, which was a 2-step process:

Step 1: Submitted basic business information to Google for verification.

The basic information includes the Business Name, Business Address (Street #, Street, City and Country) and Business Category, which in this case was Hardware Store.

Step 2: Once Google verified the page with the basic information, more information like Hours, Phone Number, Photos, and a Business Description were added.

I also tagged the business page with relevant attributes (i.e. wheelchair accessible entrance) to increase the conversion rate of people who view the business page and decide to visit the store.

Price Tags

I created price tags after showing the business owner tags I made for another business.

He chose the color, size and font he wanted for the price tags.

Review Generation

After teaching the business owner the importance of Google review and how to ask customers for them, the hardware store generated 8 reviews in just 2 months.

The name of the business was also changed on Google at the request of the owner, as seen below:
